How Much Does a Private Concierge Cost in Paris?

A private concierge in Paris is priced in one of four ways: per request, per day, by monthly retainer or by annual membership. Hotel-style per-request fees suit a single evening; a retainer suits anyone who will ask more than a few times a month. The fee is rarely the real cost — the real cost is choosing a model that does not match how you live.

The four pricing models

Private concierge services in Paris are structured around one of these models, and most providers use two of them.

  • Per request — a fixed or hourly fee for each arrangement. Transparent, suitable for one dinner or one delivery, expensive the moment you ask often.
  • Per day — a daily rate for a dedicated person during a stay, a Fashion Week or an event. Predictable for visitors; usually from a half-day minimum.
  • Monthly retainer — a fixed monthly fee for a defined scope and a named contact. The standard model for residents and frequent visitors.
  • Annual membership — a retainer with a longer commitment, often with priority access and 24/7 availability. Suits families and executives whose Paris life is continuous.

What is — and is not — included

The fee pays for the concierge's time, network and responsibility. It does not pay for what is bought: the restaurant bill, the tickets, the driver, the flowers are always invoiced at cost or settled by you directly. Ask whether the provider takes commissions from the places it sends you to; the honest ones say so, and the best ones do not take any.

Check what 'available' means. 24/7 availability for members is common; 24/7 for one-off clients is not. Check who answers: one named person, or a rotating desk. Check language: an English-speaking concierge who cannot negotiate in French is of limited use in Paris.

Why the fee is the wrong number to optimise

Clients who choose per-request pricing to 'keep control' often end up paying more by spring than a retainer would have cost by autumn — and with none of the continuity that makes a concierge valuable. Conversely, a resident who only needs a table twice a year does not need a membership.

The right question is not 'what does it cost?' but 'how often will I ask, and how much do I want the same person to know about me?' Continuity is what you are buying.

Questions to ask any private concierge in Paris

Before retaining anyone — including us — ask these.

  • Who exactly will handle my requests, and will it be the same person each time?
  • Do you take commissions from restaurants, boutiques or hotels?
  • What happens when something cannot be arranged?
  • What is your position on confidentiality — NDA, names in bookings, data?
  • What is the notice period, and can I pause?

FAQ

Does Book & Smile publish prices?

No. Our terms depend on scope and are set in a private consultation. We offer one-off assistance and three membership levels: Essential, Executive and Private Office.

Is a private concierge cheaper than a hotel concierge?

A hotel concierge is included in your room rate but serves every guest in the house for the length of your stay. A private concierge is paid separately and serves you across visits and years.

Do you take commissions?

No. Our service is paid by the client. Purchases and bookings are at the establishment's price.

Can I start with a single request?

Yes. Many clients begin with one evening or one errand and move to a membership when they see how often they ask.
